Former Social Welfare Minister Sandeep Kumar today met PWD Minister Satyendar Jain in Delhi Secretariat, seeking his intervention in the completion of under-construction Railway Under Bridge (RUB) and Railway Overbridge (ROB) at the earliest in his constituency.
Kumar, who is currently out on bail in an alleged rape case, said that municipal corporations have been constructing RUB and ROB in Sultanpuri constituency for around five years but they are yet to be completed.
"The construction works of both ROB and RUB are going on for five years due to which people have been facing a lot of problems.
"I have requested the PWD Minister to look into the matter and he has assured me that he will take up the issue with the municipal corporation," Kumar, who is an MLA from Sultanpuri Majra, said after the meeting.
This is perhaps the first time that Sandeep Kumar went to the Delhi Secretariat since he was sacked from the AAP government on August 31.
Kumar was arrested after a woman had lodged a complaint at Sultanpuri police station in North Delhi alleging sexual harassment following which a case was filed. She had allegedly figured in an objectionable video with him.
He had defended himself saying he had been targeted.
