Sanofi India appoints N Rajaram as MD

Sanofi India has elevated N Rajaram as the managing director, effective January 1 and he will be succeeding Shailesh Ayyangar, who will take up a regional role within Sanofi Asia.
Rajaram joined Sanofi in February 2014 and was appointed as whole-time director in October 2015, the company said in a statement today.
Under Rajaram's leadership, Sanofi has doubled its diabetes business and established a foothold in the consumer healthcare sector.
Rajaram has nearly two decades of experience in the FMCG industry with Hindustan Unilever, and in the telecom industry with Airtel. He was the managing director for over 12 years and will also continue as a non-executive director on the board.
******************** Royal Orchid enters Dwarka in Guj
Royal Orchid Hotels that primarily operates 5- & 4- star hotels, has opened a new property in Dwarka in Gujarat. With the opening of 'Regenta Inn, The Dwarika', the group has 46 properties, the company said today.
"We are taking continuous steps towards expanding our presence. We've added five proprieties this year- Mysore, Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Kanpur and Dwarka--taking the number of our properties to 46 hotels now. We've set a target of 50 properties by March," Royal Orchid managing director Chander K Baljee said.
******************** Wow Momo eyes 300 outlets by 2019
Wow Momo, a chain of fast food restaurants, has set a target to open 300 outlets by 2019. Began in 2008, it already has 150 outlets in nine cities.
WowMomo is now exploring the possibility of expansion into other geographies, including the US and Britain with ready-to-eat frozen momos, its co-founder Sagar Daryani said in a statement.
******************** BlackSoil's realty fund exits Sankrit group
BlackSoil's realty fund has made a successful exit from the Sankrit group-making it the fifth exit for the fund. It had invested Rs 32.5 crore in Sankrit via secured non- convertible debentures in June 2016.
Investment in Sankrit group was the sixth investment by BlackSoil and with this exit, the Rs 160-crore fund has now exited five of the seven investments and returned Rs 106 crore capital to investors. The fund claims to have returned as much as 65 per cent principal to investors in under four years.
Its investment was in two redevelopment projects of standalone towers located in the posh Bandra West area. Sankrit Group is promoted by Kirti Shah and since 2004 has developed over 34 lakh sqft till date.
BlackSoil's maiden realty fund was started in July 2014 and is promoted by Shashi Kiran Shetty, chairman of Allcargo Logistics and Gnanesh Gala of Navneet Education.

Guiltfree Industries, the FMCG division of the RP- Sanjiv Goenka Group, has roped in cricket captain Virat Kohli as its brand ambassador for its snack brand Too Yumm.
"We are glad to introduce Kohli as the face of Too Yumm," group chairman Sanjiv Goenka said in a statement.
