Sapient to hire 1,500 persons this year in India

Global marketing, consulting and technology company Sapient today said it will hire about 1,500 people in India to take its total headcount to 10,000 by the end of the year.

The company, which has about 8,500 people across its centres in India, has also set up a new office in Bengaluru with a capacity of 3,500 workstations.

Sapient has over 13,000 employees globally. Out of this, 8,500 are housed in India (at the start of this year). The target is to take the India capacity to 10,000 by the end of this year.

“We are a company that comprises of 84% millennials. The new innovative office space has been designed to appeal to this group and for today’s flexible work styles. An open environment is a breeding ground for innovation, collaboration and co-creation. I am confident that it will enable our people to develop boundary-breaking ideas for our clients,” Sapient India Managing Director Rajdeep Endow told PTI.

He added that the Bengaluru centre, spread over 4 lakh sq ft, is its single largest premise globally.

Sapient has three entities -- SapientNitro, Sapient Global Markets and Sapient Government Services.
