"Shinde as part of the state government's appeal for plantation selected four villages from Satara district. The plantation was done in June and July last year. Some 59 plants on Pandharwadi village road were found axed. The Gram Panchayat has filed a case in this regard," Yuvraj Hande attached to Dahiwadi police station told PTI.
When contacted, Shinde said, "I am highly annoyed with this act of people who axed the plants. I chose the village because I was told that it is one of the least rainfall receiving villages in the state and wanted to develop a green cover here."
