Actress Vanessa Bayer has opened up about the "transition" that live TV sketch comedy show 'Saturday Night Live' is going through.
SNL creator Lorne Michaels has acknowledged that he struggled during the 39th season following the departures of veteran cast members Fred Armisen, Bill Hader and Jason Sudeikis.
Bayer has now revealed about the benefits and challengers of being a veteran on the sketch comedy show during the cast overhaul, reported Digital Spy.
"Obviously the thing that was a bummer about it was that people left that we loved. But the thing that was great was to get those new people," Bayer said.
"They were all so great and also so excited. But it's like going to college or camp, where you get used to having certain friends and then you get new friends.
"And you're happy. But it's always interesting when it's a transition year like that. It usually turns out great, though," she added.
Bayer also spoke about her future on SNL, and the likelihood that she will portray presumptive presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton in the 2016 election season.
"I definitely hope that she runs for president. For a lot of reasons - not just because I impersonate her," she said.
'Saturday Night Live' will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a primetime special next year.
