Sources said in its meeting held on February 5, the Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India H L Dattu recommended the transfer of Justice Singh to the government.
It is learnt that Justice Singh has given his consent for the transfer. Besides the CJI, four senior-most judges of the apex court are the members of the collegium.
Justice Singh (58) is the senior-most judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court after the Chief Justice.
He was appointed as Additional Judge of the MP High Court in April, 2002 and Permanent Judge in March, 2003.
