After testing the market for over a year, scented shoes brand Scentra will get into offline distribution and also plans to enter new product categories such as bags and garments.
"After testing the market for more than a year, we are now looking at a full fledged retail foray. By second half of next fiscal, we will at set up our brick and mortar stores. We also plan to set up 10 Scentra House kiosk outlets by end of this year," Scentra Founder & Managing Director Karan Vij told PTI.
Scentra House will come up in Delhi, Pune, Chandigarh and Mumbai. Scentra is also looking at selling shoes through multi-brand distribution channel by next fiscal.
Scentra retails products through own website as well as online marketplaces such as Jabong, Amazon and Snapdeal.
"We are planning to enter new product categories such as bags and garments but it will take time. Right now we are looking at expanding our shoes portfolio to 100 products from 40 at present," Vij said.
Scentra shoes are designed in California and manufactured in Spain.
"We are manufacturing in Spain in our own facility and importing them to India. We manufacture in Spain for technology and quality available there. We will continue to manufacture shoes in Spain. But we will definitely manufacture bags and garments in India," he said.
Scentra offers shoes for men, women and kids in the range Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,700.
