The accused Nasif Imtiaz Momin was arrested last night after he kidnapped the girl on October 11 from an autorickshaw which ferried her to an Urdu school, E N Kharik of Bhiwandi taluka police station told PTI.
Momin allegedly barged into the rickshaw around 7AM and pushed the girl out before jumping out of the vehicle between Bhiwandi and Padga petrol pump area. Then he abducted the victim and took her to an isolated place in a tempo and held her captive for a while.
Momin was charged under sections 363 and 323 of the IPC and subsequently arrested. The POCSA Act would be added subsequently after investigations are over, police said.
