Rajasthan School Education Minister Vasudev Devnani said that 75 per cent portion of curriculum of classes 1 to 5 will be based on Rajasthan and remaining portion will be on India.
From classes 6 to 8 half of the curriculum will contain knowledge on the state, while the portion of the world will be introduced in class 9, Devnani said in a function of Rajasthan Shikshak Sangh.
"The students will be taught about great personalities from the state like Maharana Pratap, and they will be given more knowledge of the state.
He also said that the government was considering doing assessment of students' performance in every three months so that they can give good results.
Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan University J P Singhal, Rajasthan Shikshak Sangh's General Secretary Devlal Gochar, coordinator Chandrakant Agnihotri were among other present in the function.
