The accused teacher, Durgalal Meena (22), who was teaching in Pt Sukhwal Senior Secondary School here since October 2011, repeatedly raped the 16-year-old student, promising her good marks in examinations, Additional SP N L Pavan today said.
The teacher had threatened the girl of dire consequences if she divulge the matter to anyone. However, when the girl's parents came to know about it, they lodged an FIR against the teacher, who was arrested yesterday after the medical test of the victim.
When contacted, the school director, Lokesh Sukhwal, said the school administration was unaware of the incident and the accused teacher had been removed since March 30.
