Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Devvrat today said that scientific developments should be made in correlation with religious beliefs.
Speaking during a visit to CSK Agriculture University, Palampur in Kangra district, Devvrat said science should correlate with religion and scientific developments should be achieved with religious beliefs.
He said the nation had already achieved greatness in the past and it was known as "sone ki chidiya" and "vishwa guru". He said basic concepts of mathematics and science emerged from this country and he advised young scientists to serve the motherland and not go abroad for the sake of money.
The Governor also presided over the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan programme organized at the university.
"Success and failure were the part of life and we should not be demoralised by failure and should instead work hard to achieve the target in the life," he said.
The Governor also visited the Zero Budget Organic Farm under the Department of Organic Agriculture and expressed satisfaction over the works being carried out there in the field of natural farming.
He also gave away the prizes to the students.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP MP Shanta Kumar said, "Science and technology are important aspects to move ahead in the world and this programme has been organised with the motive to increase the knowledge of science among the youth.
