Scope India, handles a range of services including human resource process to global companies, finance and accounting services, banking services, a company statement said.
It supports customers in 70 countries where Standard Chartered Group has a footprint.
Prior taking up the new role, Sun was serving Standard Chartered Scope International as its CEO in Malaysia, it said.
He would lead Standard Chartered Scope International in Chennai and Bengaluru overseeing more than 12,000 employees, it added.
"Scope India has always been viewed as critical engine of the Bank and I am inspired to be part of this driven and committed workforce," Sun said.
