Officers and staff from various departments have been nominated to function as nodal officers at Zonal and Divisional levels to closely monitor the movement of election special trains, SCR officials said here.
Secunderabad-headquartered SCR has earmarked 63 coaches exclusively for operating election specials.
They will be used for movement of personnel from Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), State Armed Police Force (SAPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) to different destinations.
The special trains will be scheduled as per requirement of the Election Commission and Ministry of Home Affiars (MHA) in co-ordination with Railway Board, they said.
In addition, special cars will be attached to regular trains and some of the existing coaches will be earmarked on various trains for exclusive occupation of the forces.
