Addressing a video conference of divisional railway manager's of all six divisions i.E. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded from Rail Nilayam at Secunderabad, Yadav said, "Safety is a continuous process and complacency is not acceptable".
"Officials should adhere to safety norms while doing inspections and record even the minute details in the safety report with proper remedies for the same. To ensure safety carryout system improvements too wherever applicable," an SCR release quoted him as saying.
He stressed upon the need to reduce rail fractures, weld failures and other unsafe features at level crossings as part of ensuring safety and added officials to check the feasibility of eliminating all unmanned level crossings by constructing Road under Bridges etc.
