Scrap godowns gutted in fire in Dadri

Five scrap godowns were gutted after a major fire broke out in Dadri area of Gautam Budh Nagar district today, police said.
Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and houses nearby the godowns were evacuated by them to ensure safety of people, they said.
No major casualties were reported in the incident, although some persons suffered minor burns, they said.
The cause of the fire is being investigated but is suspected that a burning cigarette or beedi might be the reason behind it, police said.
