According to the FIR lodged by the scribe today he and the photographer were assaulted near the office of block education officer at Fulwarisharif yesterday when they had gone to find details of some alleged irregulairites.
The police have initiated an inquiry into the case.
Deputy Chief Minister S K Modi condemned the incident and said the state government would ensure a thorough probe into it.
