Scrub typhus claims 9th life in Himachal Pradesh

Another scrub typhus death was reported last night from Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla, taking the total death count in the state to nine.
Medical superintendent Dr Ramesh said that 15 new cases of Scrub Typhus have come to notice and all the patients are being treated in the hospital.
About 2,500 persons were examined for scrub typhus today and 400 of them have been tested positive. Symptoms of the disease include fever, headache, muscle pain and cough.
