Kerala Veterans' Cricket Association (KVCA), a fraternity of former state cricketers, is organizing the second edition of the league.
K Mohan, former player and President, KVCA observed that unlike last year, this time they were organising the league with a purpose to raise funds. 'We intend to raise funds for a purpose. Some funds have been earmarked for our former team mates who may be in need of funds for some emergency', he said.
BFit, a Dubai based Sports Equipment Manufacturing and Marketing firm has consented to be the title sponsor of the tournament, he said.
The six teams that are participating are: Absolute Sobers, JK's Malabar Tigers, Kochi Royals, Kochi Tuskers, Malabar Warriors and Trivandrum Panthers.
The association, formed in 1995, is affiliated to the Board of Veterans Cricket in India.
