He said he is preparing the plan for women and other residents which will be implemented soon.
His remarks came in the backdrop of rising crime graph in the city.
As chain snatchings and auto thefts are main crimes in the area, the SSP said measures will be taken so that police presence is felt and snatchers and robbers dare not strike in the city.
A beat constables reshuffle is on his cards, he said adding policemen found slow and guilty of dereliction of duty will be punished.
RWAs and NGOs will be involved and thrust will be on community policing, he said adding if residents become the eyes and ears of police, crime can be checked effectively.
Regarding senior citizens, he said a separate cell will be set up for them so that they can raise their problems and "we are able to provide sense of security to them".
Regular meetings between policemen and senior citizens living in their areas would be held, the SSP said.
