Security supervisor shot dead in an armed robbery
Press Trust of India Pratapgarh Unidentified assailants today allegedly looted Rs 8.22 lakh from a supervisor of a private security company and shot him dead in Civil Line area.
The incident took place this afternoon near the bus stand when Vinod Singh (38), was on his way to the bank to deposit the money, Additional Superintendent of Police Akhileshwar Pandey said.
The deceased was travelling in a van accompanied by driver Parvez, Pandey said.
The driver has lodged a complaint at Kotwali police station in the matter, the ASP said, adding that efforts were being made to arrest the miscreants.
