Select base metals gain on mild demand

Select base metals including nickel, zinc, copper, lead and brass prices gained at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' buying amid mild demand from industrial users.
Globally, the industrial metal copper trading lower on stronger US dollar in Asian trade amid continued concern over China demand.
Nickel climbed by Rs 5 per kg to RS 715 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 715 and zinc moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 141 from Rs 138.
Copper cable scrap, copper armature, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap and lead all inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 382, Rs 370, Rs 350, Rs 410, Rs 366, Rs 275 and Rs 124 respectively.
