Select base metals trade up on global cues

Prices of select base metals rose up to Rs 3 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today on increased demand from consuming industries amidst a firm global trend.
Traders said sentiments turned better after aluminium climbed in global markets as stockpiles of the metal on the London Metal Exchange declined to the lowest level since 2012.
Meanwhile, aluminium for delivery in three months added 0.8 per cent to USD 1,912 a tonne, the highest since June 10 on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap rose by Rs 2 to Rs 445 per kg, while aluminium ingot and aluminium sheet cutting moved up by Rs 3 each to Rs 155 and Rs 156 per kg, respectively.

Aluminium wire scrap and aluminium utensils scrap also traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 158 and Rs 155 per kg, respectively.

Lead ingot 117, lead imported 115, aluminium ingots 155, aluminium sheet cutting 156, aluminium wire scrap 158 and aluminium utensils scrap 155.
