Select edible oils remain weak on falling demand

Weak conditions continued unabated at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today with prices of select edible oils falling up to Rs 100 per quintal due to falling demand at prevailing levels against adequate stocks positions.
In the non-edible section, castor oil also eased on reduced industrial off-take.
Traders said apart from easing demand at current levels, adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on select edible oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat)and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils fell by Rs 100 to Rs 7,250 and Rs 50 to Rs 6,000 per quintal, respectively.
Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and Soyabean degum (Kandla) oils also declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,400 and Rs 6,100, while crude palm oil (ex-kandla) traded lower by the same margin to Rs 4,900 per quintal, respectively.

Palmolein (RBD) and Palmolein (Kandla) oils too traded in negative zone with a loss of Rs 100 each at Rs 5,800 and Rs 5,600 per quintal, respectively.

In the non-edible section, castor oil traded lower by Rs 100 to Rs 9,600-9,700 per quintal.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,250, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,300-1,375, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,050, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,225-1,275, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,275-1,375, sesame mill delivery 8,000, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,400, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,100, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 4,900, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,000, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,800, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,600 and Coconut (per tin) 2,700-2,775.

Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,800, Castor 9,600-9,700, Neem 5,350-5,450.
