Traders said increased buying by stockists following upsurge in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to rise in gram, arhar and other prices.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality advanced by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,100-7,500, Rs 8,000-8,300 and Rs 8,400-8,500 per quintal respectively.
Kabuli gram small variety followed suit and edged up by Rs 100 to Rs 9,200-9,700 per quintal.
Urad and its dal chilka local strengthened by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,300-7,300 and Rs 6,600-6,700 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya traded higher by a similar margin to to Rs 6,700-7,200 and Rs 7,100-7,400 per quintal.
Moth also edged up by Rs 100 to Rs 3,700-4,100, while rajmah chitra quoted higher at Rs 6,900-9,600 instead of Rs 6,900-9,400 per quintal respectively.

Gram Rs 7,100-7,500, Gram dal (local) Rs 8,000-8,300, best quality Rs 8,400-8,500, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 3,400, Rajdhani Rs 3,400, Rajma Chitra Rs 6,900-9,600, Kabuli Gram small Rs 9,200-9,700, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 2,500-2,525 and green Rs 2,700-2,800.
