Select pulses strengthen on increased offtake

Select pulses prices led by arhar strengthened by up to Rs 150 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on increased offtake by stockists following uptick in demand from retailers.
Traders said increased offtake by stockists following rise in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing regions helped arhar and other prices to trade higher.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety advanced by Rs 150 each to Rs 9,000 and Rs 11,900-13,600 per quintal, respectively.
Gram also inched up by Rs 50 to Rs 5,300-5,700 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 5,450-5,750 and Rs 5,900-6,000 per quintal, respectively.
Besin Shaktibhog and Rajdhani quoted higher at Rs 2,500 instead of Rs 2,450 per 35 kg bag respectively.
Urad and its dal chilka local too recovered by Rs 100 each to Rs 10,550-12,650 and Rs 11,150-11,350 per quintal respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya traded higher by the same margin to Rs 11,250-11,850 and Rs 11,650-12,050 per quintal respectively.

Masoor small Rs 5,800-6,050, bold Rs 5,850-6,050, Dal Masoor local Rs 6,350-6,850, best quality Rs 6,450-6,950, Malka local Rs 7,050-7,350, best Rs 7,150-7,450, Moth Rs 5,600-6,000, Arhar Rs 9,000, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 11,900-13,600.
