Selena Gomez gets 100 million followers on Instagram

Pop star Selena Gomez has been crowned the queen of Instagram after getting 100 million followers on the photo-sharing site.
The 24-year-old singer has beat the likes of her friend Taylor Swift, who has 91.4 million fans on the site, Beyonce, who has accumulated 85.3 million, and Kim Kardashian West, who has 83.6 million, to be crowned queen of the popular social networking website, reported Female First.
24-year-old Gomez's milestone will no doubt come as a surprise to her as she has managed to claw her way to the top despite being inactive online for the past six weeks.
She's no stranger to success on the photo-sharing app as she previously broke the record for the most 'likes' on a photo when she shared a shot of herself sipping Coca-Cola through a straw and 4 million people hit the tiny heart symbol on the site.

Since she posted that photo 13 weeks ago, it's managed to top its record-breaking 'likes' and is now on 5.6 million at time on publish.
