The 23-year-old singer, who had a four year on-and-off relationship with the pop star, said she was pleased to see her former flame win the Best Dance Recording prize for his hit song "Where Are U Now", reported Femalefirst.
"I'm very happy for him. Honestly, so cool," she said.
Gomez also praised Skrillex and Diplo, who collaborated with the 21-year-old star on his winning song.
"They have such a cool energy amongst all of them to be able to create something like that. It's really great.
