Sesa Sterlite bags Asian award for talent management

Sesa Sterlite, a Vedanta Group company and one of the world's largest diversified natural resource majors, has won an Asian award for best practices in talent management.
The company's Iron Ore Unit was presented the honour at Asia's Best Employer Brand Awards ceremony held recently in Singapore, Sesa Sterlite said in a statement here today.
The company has operations across zinc, lead, silver, oil & gas, iron ore, copper, aluminium and commercial power segments.
"This kind of international recognition motivates us to strengthen our efforts and increase our responsibility towards believing and sustaining that our company has been recognised for best place to work and therefore we have to live up to the expectations of our employees," said A N Joshi, Vice-President (Corporate Affairs), Sesa Sterlite.

The award ceremony was hosted for the fifth time by the Employer Branding Institute and World HRD Congress, among others.
These awards are presented to individuals and entities that have surpassed several levels of excellence and have been exemplary role models and leaders. They aim to recognise the best of the best, and to benchmark talent and HR practices, the statement said.
This is the second time that Sesa Sterlite has bagged the prestigious award.
