Corporation lawyer Ashutosh Kumbhkoni also said that MCGM did not mind that the hospital treated celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, et al, but it must fulfil the terms on which it got the land free of cost.
The division bench of Chief Justice Mohit Shah and Justice M S Sanklecha was hearing a petition filed by SHHPL challenging notice issued by the civic body, asking it to vacate the seven-acre plot allotted to it in suburban Marol, for violation of conditions of 'No objection Certificate'.
Adjourning the hearing to August 14, the court asked MCGM to state what was the minimum requirement for grant of occupation certificate to the hospital building.
Advocate Rajni Iyer, hospital lawyer, said it had some expansion plans for near future but the civic body was not granting the Occupation Certificate and the NOC.
Earlier, court had appointed Justice (retd) F I Rebello, as a mediator in the dispute, but no solution emerged.
