Several areas were today inundated in water after a dam broke in the Malsisar area of Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu district, an official said.
Water entered into several government buildings, including the SDM's office, and houses in Malsisar town, but no loss of life was reported, he said.
A few members have been rescued, station house officer Malsisar police station Panna Lal said.
He said that water leakage from a portion led to the dam break.
Additional policemen have been deployed in the area and those who are present in houses and buildings are being rescued, Lal said, adding, that the water-logging is in around 3 km area which is mainly rural.
