"We are examining different alternatives on taking train service to the hill shrine in Yadagirigutta and accordingly proposals will be submitted to the state government," Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) Managing Director N V S Reddy said.
The government, in turn, will take up the matter with the Railway Ministry, he said, adding the short-term plan is to go for general rail service to the shrine, about 55 km from Secunderabad.
Reddy visited Rayagiri station in Nalgonda and also Yadagirigutta on an invitation of Bhongir Member of Parliament Boora Narsaiah Goud.
