City Senior Superintendent of Police Yashasvi Yadav told reporters that eight girls, including three minors, along with a woman kingpin, three middlemen and six customers, were arrested from Shyam Nagar area.
The racket was being run by Sara Subahno from her house in Shyam Nagar with the help of middlemen Jeetendra, Rakesh Singh and Nagendra Nath, he said.
Subahno used to send photos of the girls through social networking sites Facebook and WhatsApp to customers. Out of three, one minor girl is from Gorakhpur while the other two are from Darjeeling in West Bengal and Kanpur, the SSP said.
Police have recovered laptops, mobile phones, motorcycle and cash from Subahno's place, he said.
Among the arrested are Mobin Khan, Arpit Kumar, Rajendra Teewari, Dampee Teewari, Pramod Sachan and Sanjay Singh, he said, adding police department will honour the policemen who busted the racket.
