Bahujan Samaj Party (Ambedkar) candidate Satnam Singh today filed his nomination for the Shahkot Assembly bypoll, which is scheduled to take place on May 28.
A spokesperson of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer said the candidate of Bahujan Samaj Party (Ambedkar) Satnam Singh, a resident of Patti Haveli, Shahkot, filled his nomination in the office of the returning officer, Shahkot.
The spokesperson also said that the last date for filing of nomination was May 10.
The bypoll was necessitated following the death of Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Ajit Singh Kohar.
