In the final, Shankara prevailed over his team mate Mohd. Gufran in a closely fought three-game encounter 12-25 25-15 25-2 to win the men's crown.
In the women's final, unseeded Kajal Kumari upstaged world and national champion Rashmi Kumari of ONGC 25-9 14-25 25-10 to annex the title for the first time in her career.
The tournament was organised by Air India Sports Club under the auspices of All India Public Sector Sports Promotion Board.
