Shantiniketan Express engine disengages from rake, none hurt

The engine of the down Shantiniketan Express got disengaged from the rake while leaving the Bolpur station on Friday, an Eastern Railway official said here.

The 12338 Shantiniketan Express was departing for Howrah at 1.10 pm, when the coupling connecting the engine with the first coach of the train got disengaged, he said.

No passenger was injured in the incident, the official said.

The departure of the train, however, was delayed by half an hour and left Bolpur station at 1.40 pm, he added.
