Minister of Interior Chaudhry Nisar Khan has telephoned leaders including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to participate in the all party conference.
"He invited them on behalf of Prime Minister. APC will be held in Prime Minister House on September 9," a close aide of Sharif told PTI.
The APC is likely to discuss the issue of proposed talks with Taliban.
The federal government has made public about its plan to hold talks with the Taliban.
However, the Taliban has said that it is yet to take a decision on the matter.
The PML-N government, which came to power in June, is grappling with a Taliban insurgency and several other militant groups.
Since Sharif became the premier, the Taliban carried out a daring jailbreak in Dera Ismail Khan that freed nearly 250 prisoners while 10 foreign climbers were gunned down at a mountaineering camp in northern Pakistan.
