Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit China next week for a global economic conference, his second trip here after he took office last year.
Sharif will be among a galaxy of world leaders attending the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference to be held in south China's Hainan Province from April 8 to 11.
He visited Beijing after he took over as Prime Minister last year during which the two countries finalised the economic corridor planned through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). His visit was followed by that of President Mamnoon Hussain.
The Boao Forum, an annual exercise to brainstorm national and international economic and trade issues will be inaugurated by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
"Asia's New Future: Identifying New Growth Drivers," will be the theme of the meeting, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hong Lei told a media briefing here today.
Besides Sharif, it will be attended by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov, Prime Minister of South Korea Jung Hong-won, Prime Minister of Laos Thongsing Thammavong, Namibian Prime Minister Hage Geingob, Timor-Leste's Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Hong said.
Simultaneously, prime ministers of Australia, Kazakhstan, Laos, Namibia and Timor-Leste will make official visits to China at the invitation of Li, Hong said.
