Sharma defeats top seed to enter semifinals

Kaza Vinayak Sharma toppled the top seed Vijay Sundar Prashanth 6-7(4) 6-2 6-1 to enter the semi-finals of the Raman Sports Trust ITF Men's Futures tennis tournament here today.
Sharma, seeded sixth, will take on second seed Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan tomorrow.
In another match, unseeded Prajnesh Gunneswaran outclassed seventh seed Sumit Nagal to post a 6-4 7-6 (4) win. He will now clash with Sidarth Rawat.
Nedunchezhiyan maintained his form to beat Mohit Mayur Jayaprakash 6-3 6-4, while Rawat defeated Borja Manzano Rodriguez of Spain 6-3 5-2 retd.
In an exciting doubles semifinal matches today, Markos Kalovelonis and Timur Khabibulin upset the second seeded Chinese duo of Xin Gao and Bowen Ouyang in the super tiebreak 6-4 6-7 (10) 10-4, while top seeds Nedunchezhiyan and Prashanth registered a comfortable victory over Chindril Sood and Lakshit Sood 6-3 6-4.
