Shia LaBeouf has issued an apology after a series of videos surfaced showing the actor's eccentric behaviour towards police officers during his recent drunkenness arrest.
The "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" star took to his Twitter account to say that he's sorry for his racial outburst while admitting that he's struggling with addiction, reported Ace Showbiz.
"I am deeply ashamed of my behaviour and make no excuse for it," Shia said.
"I don't know if these statements are too frequent, or not shared often enough, but I am certain that my actions warrant a very sincere apology to the arresting officers, and I am grateful for their restraint. The severity of my behaviour is not lost on me."
The 31-year-old actor added that his disrespect for authority was problematic and completely destructive.
"It is a new low. A low I hope is a bottom. I have been struggling with addiction publicly for far too long, and I am actively taking steps toward securing my sobriety and hope I can be forgiven for my mistakes."
Shia was taken into custody last weekend by Savannah- Chatham Metropolitan Police in Georgia after he allegedly went off on cops while drunk in public.
