Shillong Lajong held to 1-1 draw by DSK Shivajians

Hosts Shillong Lajong were held to a 1-1 draw by newcomers DSK Shivajians in an I-League encounter at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here today.
Cameroonian striker Aser Pierrick Dipanda (60th minute) gave the visitors the lead at the hour mark, while Boithang Haokip restored parity in the 74th minute.
After today's draw, Lajong remained fifth on the league table with 11 points while DSK moved up a rung to the eighth spot on the nine-team ladder with six points.
After a goalless draw, Dipanda headed in a Juan Quero cross to help DSK go ahead. They tried to hang on to the lead, but Haokip found the back of the rival goal with a clean strike from a free-kick.
