Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today accused the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde of "dirty tricks" for transferring the IAS officers out of the state when the state needed them.
"There are several instances of IAS officers being transferred from Goa, disturbing the administrative set-up of the state," Parrikar said, talking to reporters here.
"Dirty tricks are being played by the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde," he said.
Citing an example, he said IAS officer P Krishnamurthy who was assisting him in the state administration was transferred back to Delhi.
While the state government had informed the Centre about shortage of IAS officers, Shinde kept denying that Goa needed more officers, Parrikar said.
"Now the Centre has sent a list of officers who could be transferred to Goa. This exposes the double-speak of the Congress and Shinde," Parrikar said, adding that Shinde was acting like "a constable and not Home Minister".
