Shiv Sena and Dogra Front activists today took out a rally protesting against the hike in prices of onions and other essential commodities.
Dogra Front activists led by their president, Ashok Gupta, took out the rally from Science College to Canal Road and were joined by Shiv Sena workers.
Gupta alleged that there was "total mismanagement" on the part of the government. "The prices of onions and vegetables have already sent household budgets up and spiralling," he said.
The government will be held accountable "if people start stealing onions instead of motorcycles and cars", he said.
