As per a press release issued by State Vigilance Investigation Bureau, one Ramdeo Mahto, a resident of Ghaghha ghaat locality under Sultanganj police station area of Patna district, had lodged a complaint with the bureau that the SHO was demanding Rs 25000 as bribe for sending NOC document to the concerned court for releasing his truck which was seized by the police.
After verifying the complaint, a team was constituted under a deputy superintendent of police to conduct a raid and arrested the SHO from the Pothia police station premises while accepting bribe from the complainant.
The accused (SHO) is being brought to Patna where he would be produced before a special vigilance court.
