There were reports that Shoojit, who has recently delivered hit "Piku", was set to make his next with Ranbir whose last outing was "Bombay Velvet".
"There are no such plans as of now. Nothing like that is happening. There is no idea about the next project," Shoojit told PTI.
Reportedly, the "Vicky Donor" director was going to start working on 'slice-of-life' subject with Ranbir.
"Till date nothing of that sort has happened," sources close to Ranbir said.
The "Rockstar" actor will be seen next in Imtiaz Ali's "Tamasha" opposite his former girlfriend Deepika Padukone and Anurag Basu's "Jagga Jasoos" alongside Katrina Kaif.
