Indirapuram police station SHO Haridayal Singh Yadav said the deceased has been identified as Anil Kohli, a shopkeeper.
Gaurav, the son of the deceased, told police that his father was under medication for prolonged ailment and was suffering from depression.
Last night after dinner, his father went to his room for sleep. Around 6 AM today, Gaurav entered his father's room and found him hanging from the ceiling fan.
On information, police reached the spot and recovered the body. No suicide note has been recovered yet. The body has been sent for post-mortem, Yadav said.
