Pop star Shawn Mendes has pulled out of Jingle Ball concert in San Jose, California on doctor's orders.
The "Stitches" singer took to Twitter to reveal he was too ill to take the stage, reported Contactmusic.
"I planned to fly to San Jose today, but am sick and doctors have told me I am unable to travel or perform," he explained.
"I am gutted and so sorry, and I will make it up to you."
Shawn, 18, also croaked his way through a brief video message for the event's hosts at the local iHeartRadio station Wild 94.9, thanking devotees for their understanding.
"I just wanted to make a video apologising to every single one of my fans and to iHeart for not being able to make it to the show tonight...," he said in the clip.
"Once again, I'm so sorry, I promise you guys I'll make it up to you. Thank you for understanding. I love you guys."
Other acts performing on the annual Jingle Ball tour include Charlie Puth, The Chainsmokers, Diplo, Niall Horan, and Lukas Graham.
