Amid weak global cues and sluggish demand at the domestic market, silver prices declined Rs 155 to Rs 34,820 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December month fell by Rs 155, or 0.44 per cent to Rs 34,820 per kg in business turnover of 5,619 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in far-month March traded lower by Rs 141, or 0.40 per cent to Rs 35,547 per kg in 59 lots.
Traders said the fall in silver prices at futures trade was largely in line with a weak trend in its prices in global markets before the Federal Reserve's interest-rate decision later this week.
Meanwhile, silver fell 1 per cent to USD 14.46 an ounce, heading for the lowest close in two weeks in London.
