Silver futures gain 0.20% on global cues

Silver prices rose 0.20 per cent to Rs 33,774 per kg in futures trade today as speculators raised their bets amid a firming trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 67, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 33,774 per kg in a business turnover of 5,547 lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in March next year rose by Rs 53, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 34,479 per kg in 157 lots.
In the international market, silver gained 0.4 per cent, snapping 14 straight days of declines which was a record streak of losses for data starting in 1950.
Market analysts said a firming trend in the global market, mainly influenced silver futures here.
