At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month May rose by Rs 232, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 41,062 per kg, in a business turnover of two lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in March was trading higher by Rs 218, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 40,485 per kg in 679 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built by participants in line with a firm trend in global markets for precious metals influenced silver prices at the futures trade.
