The exchange remained closed for the morning session on account of "Diwali Balipratipada".
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December declined by Rs 108, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 42,351 per kg, in a business turnover of 486 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in March traded lower by Rs 110, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 43,054 per kg in one lot.
Globally, silver rose 0.14 per cent to USD 17.75 an ounce in London.
